Top 10 Blog Posts of 2013 From Homeschoolin’ Mama

Today is the last day in 2013 – can you believe it?!  This year has flown by!  Life got crazy (as it tends to do) and some days felt longer than others.  But I can’t believe it’s already time to say good bye.  Let’s take a look back at the posts YOU liked the best here at Homeschoolin’ Mama!

ABC Alphabet Cards and wall decor for school or home 10 – {New} Printable – ABC Flashcards & Wall Decor – These cards are so fun I have two sets of them in my home right now!  One set for the wall of our school room and another set for my little Boo to use during her lesson time.  Let me tell you – we are getting our money’s worth out of these and I know many of you are too!

HM-Curriculum 2012-2013 1 9 – Our 2012-2013 Curriculum – So as I’m putting this post together and going through all of my stats I see that I never did write a post this year about our 2013-2014 curriculum.  What?!?  And I call myself a homeschool blogger?  Let me tell you – that will be corrected!  But until then here is our most popular curriculum post!

Our School Room 1 8 – Sweet Chix Homeschool {Our Homeschool Room} –  A new year, a new city and a new home means a NEW homeschool room!  This one took my the longest to put together by far.  No storage and more books and learning toys equals Mama needing to pace herself to get everything just how I wanted it.

Groundhog Day Toddler/PreK Learning Pack from HomeschoolinMama.com 7 – It’s Groundhog Day – Okay so this learning pack was not only my girls favorite that I’ve created so far but it was the download more than any other – by far!  You have two sets to choose from Toddler/PreK and K/3rd Grade.  There is a little of every thing in each one!

Water-Beads-700x453 6 – 5 Benefits to Sensory Play – This guest post from my friend Angela of Teaching Mama is wonderful for those of us with littles!  Homeschooling gives such a freedom to make learning fun and exciting.  Are we taking full advantage of this?  This post will inspire you to add the fun back into your school day!

Becoming an Intentional Homeschoolin Mama - 5 Day Series from HomeschoolinMama.com 5 – Becoming an Intentional Homeschoolin’ Mama {5 Week Series} – Sometimes we get so wrapped up in life we forget what is truly important.  Finances may not be what we hoped (or even need), stresses around you, kiddos are little crazier than usual.  This is when we need to focus on being an Intentional Homeschoolin’ Mama.  I pray that this series will help you find your footing again!

How to Homeschool with Journals copy 4. – How to Homeschool With Journals –  A wonderful guest post by my friend Stephanie of Harrington Harmonies!  She shares how she uses journals in her homeschool with her three creative kiddos.  Every time I read this post I am once again inspired to use journals even more with my girls!

Elf on the Shelf 3 – Ultimate Guide to Elf on The Shelf  –  Definitely a popular post here!  I mean – who doesn’t love the Elf on the Shelf?  There are so many creative ideas to pose him, hide him and organize it all.  It truly is an Ultimate list!

Valentines Day K-3

2 – Valentine’s Day Learning Packs – Valentine’s Day is always a fun holiday!  These two learning packs are a huge hit here in my home and at co-op (and without the need for all that sugary candy).  This post has two learning packs – Toddler/PreK and Kindergarten/3rd Grade!

MLK Tater Tot

1 – Martin Luther King Day Printables – I decided to start with Martin Luther King Day {January 21, 2013} because it’s one holiday that I always have a hard time finding fun extra’s for my littles.  I have two packs for you; one for our little Tater Tots and the other for K-3 kiddos (aka the big kids).  This post is full of printables and resources I use to help my girls learn about Martin Luther King, Jr.

Well, I hope you had a wonderful year in 2012!  I thank you so much for joining me on this crazy  (but fun) journey in homeschooling.  The new year has so many things to offer us.  Let’s make the most of it all, keep in prayer with God to guide our steps and continue to grow as Homeschoolin’ Mamas!

Love Life, Love God, Live For HIM…
