Well obviously we are all teaching our children being that we are Homeschoolin’ Mama’s. But are we truly being intentional about teaching our kiddos? Or are we just going through the motions?
I will admit that I have those days where I know that I am just going through the motions. I’m sure we all do. You know – your sick, having just the worst day ever and all you’re thinking is “Let’s just get this done!“
I look at it this way – homeschooling as my job. Now I don’t mean in the “Oh great I have to go to work today.” kind of job. It’s the most important job I will ever have in my lifetime. Raising my girls to be God fearing, well educated women is just…well…nothing has greater importance! So, just like I did with my job in my former life BK (before kids) I try to keep up with all the latest and greatest when it comes to homeschooling.
Choosing the right curriculum for your children is

Joining a co-op or meet up group is so important! Having real life Mama’s who are homeschooling and understand your up’s and down’s is a wonderful gift to have. If you’re new to homeschooling or to your area (like me) MeetUp.com is a great way to find other homeschoolers!
Finding resources online can be overwhelming at times. I have a few “go to blogs” that I follow on RSS and all the Social Media outlets. These are bloggers that are great for support, resources, helpful tips and product reviews. Here is just a small list of who I keep up with:
