Changes Are Coming

This year has been a crazy whirlwind. So many ups and downs in nearly every area of our life. Life is like that though right? Always changing and a bit wild. It changes whether you’re ready for it or not.

I believe that God allows the difficulties to come into our lives to teach us something and to grow us closer to Him. To remind us how much we need Him. Through much prayer, I believe that God is leading me to make some changes in my life, and one of those changes is right here with Homeschoolin’ Mama.

I talked a little about feeling alone this past year in my post, The Encouragement of Co-op, and the difference being around other homeschoolin’ mamas has made for me. Since then, God has placed it on my heart to change the focus of my little corner here.

This past year I was so busy feeling lonely (and to be honest quite pitiful for myself) that I hadn’t given it a thought that others may be feeling the same way. When I finally realized that so many other homeschool mamas are in the same boat, God began working on my heart to encourage all of you.

New Focus For 2019 & Beyond

• Encouraging you to follow God’s lead: You are uniquely called, by God, to educated your children. You know your personal reasons you felt this loving tug from Him. I want to be here to encourage you to keep listening to Him and know He hasn’t led you down the wrong path. He would never do that to you.
• Equipping you with the resources to do it well: Obviously I’m going to direct you to the Bible. I mean how are you going to be truly plugged into what God wants for you? But Bible Studies, books, Christian leaders posts, these are some of the resources I want to make sure you don’t miss out on.
• Empowering you to continue your journey: I know the word “empowering” is thrown around a lot lately. But I feel it truly applies to us. By encouraging you and equipping you on this homeschooling journey you are being empowered to continue (and continue well).

You will see a lot of changes in the new year here. I’m changing up the look and focus. I hope you will enjoy it and share with your friends. Plus, you’re always invited to join us in our private group on Facebook for a little more personal talk too.
